One of the forms of martial arts which is studied in the country of Brazil is a martial art which is very skill full and hard to master this martial art is called ''Jiu- Jitsu'' . This martial art is a defence system which is mainly focussed on ground fighting . This martial art is a system in which teaches that if you are small you may still defend yourself against someone whos is bigger and stronger than you useing the method of Jiu- Jitsu this is preformed by using leverage and proper technique. These techniques used in defending yourself usually involve apllying joint locks and neck holds and other methods of trapping preventing your apponant from fighting. irish martial art

Martial arts in Ireland

There is one main type of martial art in Ireland though there are not very many kinds which have been originated there. This main kind of martial art is known as ''Bataireacht'' this is a word used for the various forms of stick fighting martial arts which are found in Ireland. This as is in the name is a martial art which uses sticks in battle and practice. These sticks are called the ''bata'' or '' Sail-Eille''. This martial art simply dates back to centuries ago when the irish used to use sticks as forms of self defence. Since these times the tradition of fighting with sticks in Ireland has been passed down from generation to generation or learned in traditional military schools. This form of martial art is still populer with the irish colture to this day all though much less so than previous years...........

Bolivian martial arts

Bolivian martial arts...........

Bolivia is a spanish speaking country which is in South America. This is a country which i would be interested in finding out about the main martial art studied because i have not heared of many martial arts coming from this country and it would be of interest to find out what martial arts do come from here.

The main martial art which is practiced in the country is a martial art called ''Tinku'' this form of martialn art is quite strange in its performance as it is a very old form of martial art and was originally a form of ritualistic combat. Tinku has a different translation in two different languages but both of these translations sum up the general idea of the martial art which are ''encounter'' and ''physical attack'' . This martial art is performed as a type of festival in which women will get together and begin chanting and singing while the men gather around  and proceed to fight the women will then circle them and continue to sing ajnd chant and ocaisonally a women will join in on the fighting. Tinkus are held in potosi during the first few weeks of may.

Mexican martial art..............................

The main martial art which was developed in mexico and still to this day is a large sport in mexico is called ''Lucha Libre'' this refers directly to proffesional wrestling and is now a day exclusively refered to as proffesional wrestling but is originally refered to as ''freestyle wrestling'' ...................................

The rules of lucha libre are similar to the rules of American wrestling matches may be won by pinning your opponant to the floor and counting to three or by making him tap out or by knocking him out of the ring for a certain length of time or by disqualification . One difference between the American wrestling and the mexican lucha libre is that you may not use the ropes around the ring as leverage. There are many other rules in lucha libre which seporates it from American televison wrestling such as no weapons / instroments and no attacking the groin although they do dress up wearing masks to wrestle. Ripping these masks off during a wreslting match is illegal........

What are the differences between the three categories of martial arts below?...
V
V
V
Mainly in japanese martial arts such as karate stances and movements are a lot more firm and usually involve quick movement of hands or legs from one position or stance to another these stances are usually more rigid than the stances you will find in other martial arts from around the world.

Korean martial arts on the other hand are usually more fluid and flow a lot less firm and rugged and the stances as well as the movements are usually more rounded and loose to switch stances with.

There is then Chinese martial arts which to some level is a mixture between the two martial arts listed above but is more fluid than Korean martial arts but not as circular it is also not as firm as Japanese martial arts such as karate. Chinese martial arts are also very dependent on stances.
